Weekend In Hershey PA!

I just got back from the best weekend at the sweetest place on earth! This past weekend February 16-18th i stayed in a One Bedroom Cabin at the Hershey Camping resort which is an official hershey resort. We arrived last friday night and were shown to our cabin by the security team(the registron office was closed at this time; they close at 4 during this time of year) . My boyfriend (ryan) and I got all of our stuff set up and off to  bed we went. Saturday morning we got up, checked out the camp store and headed over to first watch on chocolate ave. We had a great breakfast (see photos at the end) and we were ready for a fun day.

Our first stop was Kitchen Kettle Village in intercourse PA. It has great shops such as a coffee bar, leather store, a camping store and much more. The Jam and relish kitchen is our favorite store. They have jams, jelly and everything in between. We then headed over to the old windmill farm. Old windmill farm is truly the best farm tour you can do in Amish country PA. Located in Ronks PA in the heart of Amish country sits old windmill farm, a real working Amish farm. The family who run the tours also live and work on this farm.  From feeding horses to bottle feeding baby cows, to holding baby goats and bunnies(just to name a few) You truly feel like you are working on an Amish farm. This is our 6th time doing this tour and I feel like we do something different every time. We usually go in the summer but this time we went in winter.

After our Farm tour at Old Windmill Farm we headed over to Shady Maple Smorgasbord The largest Amish buffet Serving up Pennsylvania Style Dutch food. They have everything from bread filling (my favorite) to chicken fingers for kids. They have different specials every night of the week. https://www.shady-maple.com/smorgasbord/pricing-hours/.  They have a massive gift shop down stairs with all your typical gift shop stuff. Shady maple Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and they are closed on sundays. After Lunch we headed back over to Hershey which is about a 35-45 minute drive from the Lancaster area. When we got back to hershey we headed to hershey's chocolate world, a trip favorite for me. They have a free chocolate tour ride great for kids! They also have 4 paid acctarions, The Hershey trolly tour, Build your own chocolate bar,  Hersheys unwrapped and The great candy expedition.  They also have a food court area and the world's largest candy store.

We headed back to our cabin to relax and shower before dinner. The showers at the campground were very clean. After we showered we went to dinner at  fire and grain inside the Hershey lodge. We had a great time and great food. We are planning to stay at the Hershey lodge in the near future.
